Welcome to Art Centre Schiedam
Since May 2022, three art galleries: Art Gallery Voûte, Kunstwerkt and Tone & Image have been exhibiting at a beautiful new location in Schiedam: the former post office at the oldest city park in the Netherlands. The place where stamps used to be sold and packages could be dropped off has been transformed into an attractive, accessible venue for visual art in all its forms. It caters to both young and old, art experts and art enthusiasts alike.
Art Gallery Voûte has been independent, unconventional (sometimes to the point of nonconformity), and internationally oriented since 1994. Our style can be described as somewhat eclectic. But above all, for us, it is about quality.
Since the 1990s, Stichting KunstWerkt has brought together a large group of artists from Schiedam and the surrounding area. The foundation organizes around ten exhibitions and related activities each year.
Tone & Image is the continuation of De Fotowerkplaats. The foundation commissions Peter de Raaf (V!Ps International Art) and Wim van Zon (Music Inspired Art) to organize museum exhibitions and manage music photo archives.

Since then, this private initiative has developed into a center where there is always something going on during weekends. Located near the oldest city park in the Netherlands, the Plantage, it offers a valuable addition to the cultural life of Schiedam and its surroundings. More information: Art Centre Schiedam
